Hello there!
I consider myself to be a "connoisseur" of video games, believing that video games are a form of progressive art. My love for video games was strong motivation to pursue computer science in college. Today, I have an A.S. degree in computer science, having graduated magna-cum-laude. My deep history among video games, combined with a proven technical understanding of computer technology makes me (in my opinion) an authority on the subject.
My significant other wrote an excellent and very persuasive essay on the topic, one the reflects my feelings quite well. She got an A on the paper. You can view and download a PDF here.
Professionally, I provide computer workstation/server/hardware support for one of the largest companies in the world. I apologize, in the endeavor to separate my personal and professional lives (and maintain divisive layer of privacy in between), I cannot list my real name or which company I work for as corporations do check blogs as a source of "evaluating" their employees.

What about...?
Xbox 360? Playstation 3? I don't play these games because they are ridiculously expensive, which is totally absurd. Costs have come down in the last couple of years, but a quality HD display plus the cost of either an Xbox360 or Playstation 3 still climbs near $800. With the current recession and my desire to stay out of debt as much as possible, acquiring these game consoles simply cannot happen. I still hold hope to be able to play these games at some time, but either prices must fall more or I need a very significant raise. Neither of which appear to be happening soon.
Note about school: I attended Adirondack Community College from 2000 - 2001 and returned to graduate in 2005. I was not attending for five straight years.
